Verizon is keeping people connected by participating in FCC’s Emergency Broadband Benefit Program
About the Emergency Broadband Benefit
The Emergency Broadband Benefit (EBB) Program was created by Congress and implemented by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to provide eligible households discounted internet services during the Covid-19 pandemic. The EBB will help eligible households connect to jobs, healthcare, and virtual classrooms.
The goal of this program is to ensure that internet service is affordable for everyone. However, usage is required, and only customers who use their internet service are eligible to continue receiving the discount. If you reach 30 days without any internet usage, you may no longer be qualified to receive the discount and the prior discount may be reversed on your next month’s bill.
The EBB discount is temporary, and the end-date will be announced by the FCC. At the end of the program, you will be charged the undiscounted rate if you continue to receive the service, which will be subject to your provider’s general terms and conditions. You may transfer this EBB program discount to another provider at any time.
Verizon recognizes the importance of internet connectivity and is pleased to make the EBB discount available to our eligible customers.
The Federal EBB Program opened for qualified customers to apply for discounted services. A link to Verizon’s page is below for your
reference and distribution. Thank you in advance for sharing this information with your contacts across the state.
