Clients are reached through a strong statewide network of agencies. NJS has enjoyed fifteen years of success and subsequently has developed programs for telephone and water utility assistance.

Director of Development
Full Time Job Posting (January, 2013)

NJ SHARES, a non profit 501(c)3 organization, is currently seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Director of Development to join its senior management team and provide leadership and strategic guidance for its financial development program. He/She will hold overall responsibility for all fundraising initiatives including major gifts, annual campaign, special events, and grant writing. In collaboration with volunteer and staff leadership of NJ SHARES, he/she will manage all facets of donor relations and communications including major gift cultivation and stewardship, financial development correspondence; volunteer meetings; funding proposals, etc.

This position requires a creative thinker who can work both independently and in teams as well as manage multiple tasks. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Nonprofit Management, Sales and or Marketing; professional fundraising experience; excellent oral and written communication skills; and a demonstrated understanding of non profit management and operations.
